And Off we go… sort of…The Plan was to leave NO Later than 8 a.m. and arrive by 6 p.m. Here we are leaving at 10:45 a.m. (at least it was before noon) – BUT WAIT! — Realized Vehicle sticker expires soon so stopped to pick that up – BUT WAIT there’s more -they would not issue it until I had a current emissions test. Finally at 11:45 with a Venti Starbuck’s in hand we are on the road.
This is a picture of the sign welcoming you to Iowa – do you see it now? I know it is an absolute horrible picture! When I spotted the sign I quickly grabbed my camera and while carefully steering with one hand my other hand held the camera and blindly aimed outside while clicking away in hopes of getting at least 1 picture of the sign. 1 out of 15 isn’t bad…
